How is my campaign budget paid and spent?
You pay it in before the campaign goes live. SEMA holds it, and it is spent only when a creator’s claim is approved.
- Paid in before launch. A campaign goes live only once its budget is paid in. A funding fee comes off what you pay, and we go through it with you before you pay.
- Held by SEMA. The money sits in SEMA's account at Xendit, our payment provider.
- Spent on approved claims only. Your budget is drawn down when a creator's claim is approved, not when views are counted.
- Never more than you funded. When what is left cannot cover a whole claim, part of it can be approved, and the rest is not owed later.
- Alerts before it runs out. Our team is alerted when a live campaign has less than 25% of its budget left, and again when it runs out.
- It ends when the budget runs out. Once less than Rp 10.000 is left, the campaign ends by itself and creators stop earning from it. Views it gets while ended are not paid later.
- Top up any time. Ask our team to add budget. A campaign that ended because its budget ran out goes live again, as long as its end date has not passed, and creators who joined it are told it has been refilled.
- Split by platform, if you want. One campaign can give each platform its own budget at the same rates. Each platform pays only its own posts, and one that runs out stops taking new posts while the others carry on.
- Split by country, if you want. On a campaign priced by country, each country can have its own budget, with "Other countries" holding the rest. A country whose budget runs out stops being paid while the others carry on.
- Leftover comes back. When a campaign ends, the budget it did not use returns to your balance with us automatically, ready for another campaign or a refund.
